The Reverend Canon Nigel Marns studied History and Politics at Aberystwyth and worked as a Health Service Manager in London before training at Queen’s College, Birmingham where he completed a Bachelor of Divinity. Nigel subsequently completed a MA in the History of Christianity at Birmingham University. Nigel has been a priest for twenty-six years, working for very different contexts, moving to Truro in 2009 where he currently serves as Rector for four rural parishes in Mounts Bay near Penzance.
As well as relishing supporting SWMTC students, Nigel has written a book and developed a Pilgrimage Route through Cornwall, The Cornish Celtic Way, which opens up twenty-three churches and halls accommodating pilgrims.
He is married with two adult children, has a dog and two chickens and is interested in New Testament, Church History, contextual and Celtic Spirituality, green and world development issues.
